Fixposition joins EU–Switzerland co-funded PROACTIF Project

Zurich, Switzerland – October 27th, 2025  – Fixposition, a Swiss deep-tech leader in precision positioning solutions, announces its participation in PROACTIF, a project brings  together 42 partners from 13 countries to enhance the protection of people and critical infrastructure in Europe via next generation unmanned systems. The consortium anticipates generating 50 products, hundreds of new jobs, and over €40 million of additional investments. 

The project is funded by the European Union’s Chips Joint Undertaking and co-funded by the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI) under the Swiss Confederation.

As part of the consortium, Fixposition will advance its xFusion™ software with specific focus on its ability to mitigate GNSS jamming and spoofing via multi-modality fusion of Camera, GNSS and IMU data in one compact System-on-Module (SoM). The technology will be piloted on various robot platforms from the partners for port, rail-yard and energy substation patrol and inspection. 

Already deployed across industries across agriculture, landscaping, surveying, mapping, construction, mining, and robotics, Fixposition provides the accurate-positioning backbone for autonomous unmanned vehicles (UxVs). 

Through PROACTIF, Fixposition joins a prestigious consortium of industry leaders including Nokia, NVIDIA, and Leonardo, and innovators like Ascento, highlighting the company’s enterprise-grade capability and credibility in Europe’s high-tech ecosystem.
